Updates, upgrades and support
What is the difference between updates and upgrades?
Updates are minor changes, mostly error corrections and smaller enhancements. Updates are numbered 1.1, 1.2 etc. Updates are always free.
Upgrades are major changes to the product that introduce new features and new pricing. Version 2 is an upgrade from version 1. New versions require new license keys. If an update is released within six months of your purchase, you get the new license keys for free.
How do I update?
For v12, follow the current installation guide. The download instructions below describe earlier desktop versions.
Just download the latest version and install it to replace the previous version.

First, download the new version and install it. New versions co-exist with older versions, so you can always test a new version without removing the old.
If you wish to proceed with the upgrade, buy the upgraded license keys from the upgrade page in our web shop.
Your license keys for previous versions continue to work forever. If you don’t intend to use a previous version any more, you can uninstall it from your system.
Is your e-mail support really for free?
Yes, absolutely, for six months at least. We may change our mind in the future, but since 2002 all e-mail support has been free of charge. Read more about our free e-mail support here.
How do I get my money back?
