AI Coach
The AI Coach helps you use SpreadsheetConverter: most of what you can do with the tabs of this pane, you can also ask the coach to do. It can also improve your workbook with formulas and Excel features.
What you can ask
- “Format the headers in bold with a green background.”
- “Name this input cell InterestRate.”
- “Add a dropdown widget with Monthly and Yearly choices.”
- “Build a loan calculator in this empty workbook.”
- “Explain these conversion messages.”
- “Which Excel formula calculates a monthly loan payment?”
How to use it
Open the SpreadsheetConverter pane in Excel and sign in on the Account tab. Click AI Coach, then Start chatting, and ask your question. Every workbook change appears on a Proposed changes card: review it and click Apply to make the change.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of coach usage; the pane tells you when you reach 80% and when it is used up.
Scope
The coach answers Excel and SpreadsheetConverter questions only.
Privacy
The AI Coach may convert your workbook on our server when it needs conversion details, as the Convert button does. To prepare an answer, it sends what you type, a workbook summary and the cells it reads to Google's Gemini through the paid API. Our AI Coach usage records contain tool names, outcomes, token counts and cost, rather than your messages or cell contents; your conversation is sent to Support only if you submit a thumbs-down report with Include this conversation selected. The notice appears once per browser: the coach does nothing before Start chatting and changes nothing before Apply.
