What happens when I cancel my subscription?
All calculators published using Publish to Cloud continue to work, even after your subscription ends. Visitors can keep using your calculators and submitting forms.
You’ll still receive submissions by email. After your subscription ends, these emails contain a simple list of the submitted data instead of a PDF copy of the completed form.
Choose your v12 subscription
Compare the plans, or enter your licence details on the upgrade page to see the options available to your account.
Easiest: in the add-in. Install the Office add-in, open the Account tab and enter your key under I have a license key, using the e-mail address it was issued to. You can then choose Purchase upgrade to see your subscription options.
Have a licence for an earlier version?
Enter your existing licence key and its e-mail address in the v12 add-in’s Account tab to receive a 30-day trial of all v12 features.
An old perpetual licence key alone provides only this trial. After 30 days, it does not provide continued use of the new add-in, even with older functionality. To keep using v12 features, choose a v12 subscription. If you already pay for Advanced Submit, connect that subscription to continue updating and republishing with v11 functionality.
Can I keep using the version I bought?
Yes. A perpetual licence has no expiry date. You may keep using the version you purchased for as long as you want. You do not need a v12 subscription to keep using that earlier version.
Over time, changes in Excel or Windows may break the installation or some functionality. A perpetual licence gives you the right to keep using your purchased version; it does not guarantee that the software will remain compatible with future Excel or Windows changes.
Two examples show the difference:
- Publish to Cloud: this stopped working in v10, but works in v11.6.
- Installation after a Windows update: an update at the end of September 2026 broke the installation. That issue was resolved by running the installer’s Repair option from Windows Add/remove Programs.
Some compatibility problems can be repaired; others may require a newer version. Previous-version downloads and instructions remain available. Contact Support if you need help with your installation.
Trial and subscription details
The 30-day trial lets you evaluate all v12 features with your own workbooks. If you do not already have a SpreadsheetConverter licence, request a trial key.
A paid v12 subscription determines your conversion features, workbook limits, hosting, builder and team-member allowances, and AI access. An old Pro key does not increase a Standard subscription’s limits. Compare subscription plans.
What about the software upgrade guarantee?
We continue to honour the software upgrade guarantee for upgrades released within six months of purchase. Eligible customers who bought v11 during 2026 have been offered an 80% discount on a v12 subscription. If you were covered and we missed you, contact Sales so we can resolve it.
Choose the plan for your next conversion
Choose Standard or one of the Pro plans according to the conversion features and capacity you need. Compare the current subscriptions and prices, or contact Sales for help choosing.
What happens to my Advanced Submit subscription?
Your existing Advanced Submit (v11) service continues at $15 per month or $153 per year. You can continue publishing your existing forms and receiving PDF submissions that look like the completed webpage. This plan is closed to new customers and keeps your existing submit database, email copies and guests.
Connect your existing Advanced Submit subscription to your account to use it in the new add-in. Once connected, you can update, convert and republish your calculators and forms with v11 functionality. This access comes from your paid Advanced Submit subscription; an old perpetual licence key alone does not provide it.
Advanced Submit does not include v12 functionality, SpreadsheetConverter Server hosting or AI. For v12 features after the 30-day trial, choose a v12 subscription.

Before you upgrade to a new version of SpreadsheetConverter, you should download and install the new version of the program and test all the new features.
If you decide to upgrade, you don’t have to install the program again. Just upgrade your license key below and register it in your existing installation.
Licenses are perpetual. Any old version is unaffected by an upgrade to a later version. The old version continues to work as before, and you can use it for as long as you like, or uninstall it if you don’t need it anymore.
Purchased recently?
If you have a version 10 license purchased on or after January 1, 2024, you should already have received a version 11 license key for free. If you didn’t, please contact our Help Desk.
The HTML flavor may be included
Please note that all other flavors also give you the HTML flavor for free, in the same version and edition as the base flavor. So if you upgrade Node js version 10 to version 11 you also get an HTML version 11 license for free. And if you upgrade to the Professional edition of Node js, your complimentary HTML license is also Professional edition!
Take one step at a time
Some upgrades are trickier than others. To get from SpreadsheetConverter HTML version 10, Standard edition to version 11, Professional edition, you need both a version upgrade and an edition upgrade. This requires two separate purchases, and gives you two separate license keys. You can register both new license keys at the same time, together with the original version 10 license that validates the other two.
To avoid any mistakes during a complex upgrade, we recommend that you perform the upgrade in this order:
- If you have other flavors than HTML, upgrade only these here, since an upgraded HTML license will automatically come with every other upgrade. If your only license is for HTML, upgrade it now.
- If you intend to add a new flavor, do this next on the Add flavor page.
- If you intend to upgrade any flavor from the Standard Edition to the Professional Edition on the edition upgrade page, do this last. An HTML Professional license will automatically be included when you upgrade any other flavor to the Professional edition.
