Choose visible and printable worksheets ¶
Choose the visible sheets ¶
Open Visible sheets in the Workbook tab. Each authorable worksheet has a visibility control. Switch a sheet off to keep it out of the web-page presentation. The bulk option Hide all sheets except first in webpage provides a starting point when only the first sheet is intended for end users.
A worksheet’s presentation setting is different from a formula’s reference to that worksheet. Check the converted calculations after changing visibility, and do not use hidden presentation as a substitute for protecting sensitive data.
Choose a print sheet ¶
The sheet list also provides a print-sheet setting. Use a separate, suitably formatted worksheet when the printed version needs a different arrangement from the interactive form. Set the sheet’s print flag, convert, and check the print result.
Add a print control ¶
Add the Print widget where end users should start printing and select its settings. Different output flavors can provide different print behavior: HTML and Node.js support the print-type choices; Server output may use the browser’s current-page printing instead.
Check before publishing ¶
Use the actual converted page to test printing. Check page breaks, long values, charts and the intended worksheet content. A good interactive layout does not necessarily produce a good paper layout.
