You might wonder why you have pay per year instead of a perpetual license. There are two problems with perpetual licenses: 1) initial high fee makes it difficult to start using the software and 2) software has to be updated constantly to handle security threats, OS updates and new functionality. We decided to have a smaller yearly fee — instead of the standard $2000 plus 18% maintenance fee — to make it easy for you to start using SpreadsheetServer. Also, using our scheme, you always have the right to use the latest version and it will keep us motivated to improve the software constantly.

Requirements for the on-premises solution:

Windows 2003/2008/2008R2 Server, (WebEdition, Standard, …). It works on older Windows Servers if you have installed .Net 3.5 and ASP.NET.

SpreadsheetServer uses Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008R2. If you data is less than 10GB, you can use the free version of SQL Server. 10 GB is a lot of data! Otherwise, you will have to purchase a SQL Server license.
