No More Publish to Dropbox

Dropbox is removing the ability to host calculators on the web from your Dropbox account. All existing calculators in Dropbox will soon disappear from the web. The information below is therefore partly inapplicable.

We are developing a similar click-to-publish solution specifically for WordPress, where the calculator or form is hosted on the WordPress server. We also consider developing a more generic solution, similar to the Dropbox connection we had in the past.

Meanwhile, we suggest you try to upload your converted calculator to your own website or blog.

If you don’t have a web server, you can use Dropbox – it’s fast, simple and free. Publish your spreadsheets on the web without effort. If you don’t want to upload a calculator to your blog, just link to it in your Dropbox.

The popular Dropbox file sharing service can be used as a free web server. There is no need for a complicated file transfer program, SpreadsheetConverter publishes your calculators and smart web forms directly on the web after conversion.

If you have a blog or website, it may be easier to link to the calculator in Dropbox than to upload it to your site.

Once you’ve published your spreadsheet on the web with Dropbox, you can:

  • Attract visitors to your blog or website with a live calculator. For the best integration, use an iFrame.
  • E-mail a link to the web spreadsheet to a friend. The calculator is accessible all over the web in your public Dropbox folder.
  • Download the calculator to your iPhone, iPad or Android device. Use “Add to Home screen” to make a calculator permanently available on your mobile device.
